Individual Events for Women and Men
There are 3 twirling events with a set time limit:

Solo
Solo involves twirling one baton in vertical and horizontal patterns, in the left and right hands and in a continual flowing motion. Baton moves are selected from the three basic modes of twirling: aerials, rolls and contact material. -
2-baton
The concept of 2-baton is the continuous and uninterrupted twirling of two batons by one person. -
3-baton
The concept of 3-baton is the continuous and uninterrupted twirling of three batons by one person.
There are 2 levels:
- A level is for the 6 highest ranking athletes in the country.
- B level is for the next 6 highest ranking athletes in the country.
There are 3 age divisions:
- Junior for 12 – 16 year olds.
- Senior for 17 – 20 year olds.
- Adult for 21 years old and over.
Team and Groups Events for Women and Men
- A team is comprised of 6 – 8 members.
- A group is comprised of 10 – 20 members .
- Each participating country can enter a maximum of 3 teams and 3 groups.
